In the US, there is legally no difference, and all are licensed to practice law. However, each of the ones you name concentrates in a particular practice area.

most lawyers tend to specialize in a particular area of the law, because what they do is complex and specializing allows them to get better at a particular type of case. it's like when you need your appendix taken out, you wouldn't want to hire a foot doctor.
