The Scottish Parliament closed this petition, MSP Robin Harper for the Green Party told the Petitions Committee Consumer Focus Scotland issued a qualified support for self regulation of the legal profession (lawyers investigating themselves) as it brings some benefits to consumers. However, most consumers & particularly clients of solicitors seem to feel the legal profession should be independently regulated ...
