You should have gotten a letter from you college about how much you received in scholarships, grants, loans, and what you payed the school out of pocket. It is called a 1098E or 1098T or you might have both it just depends on the type of funding that you got. But you information on your 2007 tax return should contain moneys from 2007 only unless the forms say that there is money on them for part of the 2008 year also (not worded exactly).

I know that you can claim the interest on your loans and things like that. Don't think you can claim tuition fees just the interest. Call your lender and they will have a sheet with the amount of interest you paid over the year!
