my step father was in the emergency room for a back injury and found out he has lung blebs. all they could confirm was that he had it,they would only go into details about his back. but they told him to schedule an appointment with a recommended lung specialist. he cant get an appointment for another month and a half, and we dont know what it is or how worried we should be. any help would be appreciated. all i can find out is that it has something to do with a cyst? but the way they said it was like blebs was the name of the disease, not a symptom.

Lung blebs are like little blisters in the lungs that poke out. They are usually harmless but can sometimes break causing the air in your lung to get out of the lung. This can require emergency treatment to reinflate the lung. Lots of people have them with out problems. If it was a serious problem the ER dr. would have called the lung specialist and had him seen right a way.
