Does anyone know of an attorney that handles personal injury cases?

I need an attorney that would handle my case eventhough the place I injured myself in doesnt have insurance. my last attorney closed my case because he found out that certain business doesnt have to have insurance. im in the City of Los Angeles.... help please!

You might get more help if you post more information about what happened. I don't think any attorney will sue someone without insurance unless they know that person has deep pockets ( a lot of money).

You might just want to sue them in small claims court.

I would check with the Legal Aid Society in your state, the local Bar Association and with the law school at local universities. You should be able to find a good attorney that way. Also did your attorney consider suing the property owner, i.e. if it was a "slip and fall" type accident the owner of the building can also be brought into the lawsuit. If you were hurt as a result of a sub-contractor, you can also bring in the general contractor. If it was an accident involving a "product" you should be able to bring in the manufacturer, etc.

As a last resort you can also file the lawsuit yourself in Small Claims Court. The limit for the Small Claims Court is $ 7,500 and you do not need an attorney. You can check directly with the court http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/smallclaims/

You can also file a larger claim through the regular court but going pro se (representing yourself can be substantially more difficult). The other situation is will the business owner have any assets that you can attach!
