I guess I should have been clearer. I want to sue the government for wasting my tax dollars for various stupid things I shouldn't have to pay for.

Ask the ACLU, they've made millions and millions from suing the government.
I believe there is a whistle blowers program. You can contact your local government to get additional information. Why sue? Where you personally injured in some way? I know in the military services they have many programs that target waste. People are awarded monetary compensation depending on how much money they save over all. It's a good program.

those kind of suits take a very long time often take years lawyers love fed. cases but they like to eat too...

Many, including the ACLU, NAACP, NRA, Southern Poverty Law Center, and even many government-funded legal agencies.
There is nothing inherently stupid about suing the government, and in fact that is often the only way that improperly enacted laws get challenged.,

Oh, come on! It happens all the time!
If an army base polluted a site and a developer later discovers it, they may have to sue the US government.
If a person is wrongfully discharged, or slips and falls in a government buildiing due to negligence of the government, or whatever, they sue the government.
