I was riding the free city bus to school at Arizona State University on Wednesday and the bus was rear ended by a pick up truck. Everyone on our bus flew forward and backward. About four hours after the accident I started showing signs of head trauma. I was seen by my primary care doctor and was sent by her to the emergency room where they did a CT scan and found out there was bruising on my brain and I had received a concussion from the accident. I want to know how I would go about receiving compensation from either the city or the guy who hit the bus's insurance.

There should be a police report telling you who the pick-up driver's insurance was, as for the school and the bus company, you can send a notice of claim directly to them and they should forward it on to their insurance carriers. Be aware though, you may get no compensation from the school or the bus company as they were clearly not at fault. It's worth a try anyway.....

Hire a personal injury lawyer, many of them will take your case for no money down or no out of pocket money in exchange of 33% of you settlement or judgement. If you cant find a lawyer to take it on percentage then they dont think your case is worth much and you will have to deal with the person who hit the bus insurance company or pay for your lawyer. Good luck.
