I had to employ a firm of solicitors to sort out a matter where some finances were confiscated from my bank (wrongly- there was no impropriety).
However the bank delayed the process unnecessarily and even the solicitors said they could not explain why the money had not been returned
so i had to pay the solicitors even more money for them to continue (this was after paying them the initial amount agreed on).
If I report the behaviour of the Bank to a financial ombundsman - do I stand a chance of getting some of the money returned (as it was proved that it was the fault of the Bank concerned) that the money was not returned to my account
and will I need a solicitor to press this claim - i.e. this is me making a complaint to the Bank. If I need another solicitor I certainly cannot afford keeping on my current solicitors...
thanks...

You should get everything back. Might have to go to small claims court. But you will get t back.
