i asked for my $ 24.95 refund from singlesnet.com on dec. 28 and i called 2 weeks later because i didnt get it yet. they said they issued my refund already. i called back today because it did not say in my paypal i got a refund and they asked for my conf. code. which i didnt have anymore because that was last december already. and its now february. well they just kept putting me on hold for a long time and say there was no records you even called and hang ups. i called how many times and waited and they eventually just hung up. they are from florida and i am from california. how can i file a small claims. all i have are my phone bills that show i have called there. can i use that against them? and i can just add the costs of the small claims court fees and and my minutes being put on hold that i have to pay for.
well im not going to let them take my money just like that. they said i have no record showing i called but my phone bill does. and i spoke with the manager sarah also and shes the one who hung up on me.

Call your bank or credit card to stop payment, they will refund your account after you sign a form of consent. You will end up spending another 30.00 for small claims court.

you have to pay a fee to filing with small claims, it varies depending on where you live, check out your local court's web site. you may precede and then ask the judge to order the company to pay you back for the filing fee because it is their actions that caused the court hearing.

What can you prove? Did you record the names of the people you spoke to and what they said? Do you have anything in writing? You MIGHT win if you don't have any evidence, but it really helps to have clear documentation.
Another question is: is this worth spending a long dreary day in court? It's under $ 25- how much earnings will you loose while you are in court?
Heck, if it is a matter of long-distnace calls, I would not even bother with that any more either. $ 25 is just not worth the headache!

I can understand your frustration, but it is really going to cost you more in time, money, and aggravation to try to sue for this amount in small claims court. Just getting valid service on a Florida corporation is going to be a major pain. Report this to any financial organization which was involved (credit card, bank, paypal, etc.). You could also make a report to the Better Business Bureau. If you think they are engaged in fraudulent practices, you could also make a police report, though if this is not a major problem they probably will not be interested.
