But the problem is that he is not insured to drive it.The car looks like a Write-off. How do i handle this?

Did you give the family member permission to drive your car? If so, then most insurance companies would cover him as he had permissable use of teh vehicle. If the family member did not have permission to use the vehicle, then there would definitely be no coverage. Do not lie to the insurance company as that would be insurance fraud.

If you have collision insurance, then your incident is covered. You are insuring a vehicle, the driver does not matter. The only times it matters is if you improperly insured the vehicle and the person who had the accident was the actual full time driver.

First thing is don't lie. You're not prepared to handle the consequences when (not if) the insurer discovers you're lying. Second you have to make a choice:
- Say the member had permission to drive the vehicle. The insurer will either pay the damages to your vehicle and there will be an at-fault accident on the policy or the insurer will deny the claim for failure to disclose a licensed driver in the household;
- Say the member did not have permission to drive the vehicle and be prepared to press charges against the family member. The insurer might cover the damages, however they could also deny the claim due to, once again, failure to disclose a licensed driver in the household or some policies exclude theft damage when the person stealing the vehicle is a member of the household.
Based on the little information you've given any of these scenarios is possible.
