I was just watching Deal or No Deal and wondered if the contestants were compensated whether they won or not? I mean is there a payment just for being an "actor" or do game shows have different rules than regular television. I've been on a Food Network program as an extra before and we each recieved $ 75 a day to appear. Just wondering if game show contestants fell under any such rules. Thanks!

I think there are generally consolation prizes. I know on Price is Right at the end they say Contestants not appearing on stage will receive...and name some products. You could probably log onto each games websites to find out what is offered.
What do you think? Answer below!
