Can a solicitor defend a person that is found guilty?
& also, how does a solicitor protect a citizen's rights?

P.s from the U.K

Well to be fair, if someone has already been found guilty then a solicitor won't do them a hell of a lot of good once a sentence has been decided.
But if you mean can a solicitor defend a person that is generally believed to be guilty? then yes, that is of course if they actually agree to taking the case for them, in many circumstances a solicitor can choose not to do a case if they think it will lose them money.
If a solicitor chooses to defend someone then that is their own risk to take, a good solicitor can get people out of the worst of crimes and they will remain on the side of the accused

Hope this helped :)
