ok so i was offered x amount of money. his offer for x amount is the same trade-in value on kelly blue book excellent condition for my car. he said it was because he went by this standard "rule" that if its salvaged title it goes down 50% than its worth. this true?
why is it trade in? isn't it supposed to be private party since im keeping it? private party is 2x the x amount offered to me according to kelly blue book private party. i never agreed on anything, and i told the other agent handling this claim i dont accept yet until i get advice on this. also, the adjuster told me while inspecting my car, that he acknowledged my car being totaled and worth more than KELLY BLUE BOOK PRICE.
also, can i show recites for what i put in my, classified totaled, car and get reimbursed? can i get compensation for those weeks i had no car?

It all depends on the insurance policy. Different polices compensate for different things.

You get your insruance company to fight this out for you taking into acct your concerns. Car claims are only about claims, medical on medical. Its a huge rip off. This happend to me
15000.00 cash paid 2002. (250.00 alarm system also installed).
Car totalled in 2004 with 52,000 miles on it, car in otherwise new shape body/eng/interiors condition.
They offered 6,800.00! I got it up to 7600.00 (They added in the alarm system I had put in) I had some pain in my neck, got seen once, and one shot. Got a few hundred more later when the medical settled. Ive had neck problems ever since and now its my money paying for it :( Make your insurance company work harder for you. Push them and push them, I needed to get another car quicker, that was a huge mistake.

Do not accept what he is offering if it does not match the KBB. You should ask for his report. It should list a vin of a car that he is comparing yours to. I was in an accident and was offered a much lower settlement until I inquired about the report. The adjuster used a car that was not like mine. My car was a loaded station wagon. He used a car that was the same make but not the model. It was a two door sedan type model and it had double the miles that mine had. I refused my first check after inquiring and told him that I would get a lawyer. I finally got the KBB value for my car. You can also submit receipts for things that you put into the car like a stereo. Repairs for wear and tear will not work. You probably cannot get compensation for the loss of the car unless your policies provides you with rental coverage.

courts have ruled for years that the cost to use is the KBB trade-in or wholesale price.
Does not matter how much you put it in.
If you refuse their offer, they will say bye-bye. You will have to sue in small claims and all you will get is the KBB wholesale price.
Sorry, but that is what they have been doing for 50 years.
