Basically its was my mates 18th birthday and we were gonna have a surprise b-day party for him. He is a huge CoD fan so we arranged to get a cake in the shape of an AK 47. I went to collect it from the bakery and they put it in saran wrap. I was walking down the street with this cake and in the distance this patrol car stops two cops get out and one cop shot me before saying anything to me. I drop the cake get taken to hospital, undergo surgery and now have to go to court and am likely to have to do some community service according to my lawyer. Surely I can claim for something, the doctors are saying I might not get full mobility of my left arm again.

I doubt you can get anything, cops have immunity from consequences for their actions and a blue wall of silence that will protect them.

But yeah I would say just hire dog the bounty hunter to take care of them.
You could also be like Hannibal Lecter and just kill, then eat the cops' face that shot you. You wont get any money, but you will get revenge as well as be a little less hungry.
