I had a chest x-ray 3 weeks ago as i was suffering from terrible influenza, the doctor at the hospital said it was all clear and there was no problem with the chest x-ray. Recently, i had found out they made a mistake, as a proffessor at another hospital looked at the x-ray and had seen that my left lung had initally collapsed and suffered a very bad infection, which had gone undiagnosed for three weeks and i had sufferred immensley as i also have asthma, which makes things very dangerous.
Can i claim compensation from them? Surely with the hospital admitting the bad mistake they made, which affected my health severely, i can take legal action against them.

If you were treated at Emergency Room, doubt you could. As in your discharge orders you're told to check with primary doctor.
3 weeks is not enough time to damage asthmatic lungs more.
