I have rec'd a letter from a Legal Secretary accusing or strongly implying that my daughter has caused damage to my ex boyfriends car.. she didn't and police have not been in touch, we live 180 miles away !!! I think his new girlfriend works at the solicitors, and this is just a dig, just wanted to know can a legal secretary go this far without a solicitors signature, or PP'd ??

Write a letter to the head of the lawfirm, with a copy of the letter you received attached, asking the head "why are you sending a letter to me, signed by a legal secretary, accusing my daughter of causing damage to someone's car, since she has done no such thing", and that you believe having a legal secretary sign such a letter is "unprofessional".
Keep the letter short and polite.
If the legal secretary did not have the authority to send the letter, she will get in trouble (and you did nothing wrong).
