I suffered an injury to my knee that put me out of work for 6 months due to a bacterial infection that needed antibiotic treatment through an I.V. I was recieving Workers Comp while away from work. Is it too late to recieve compensation for the accident?

There are couple of factors that need to be answered before we can address this.

1.) Did you return back to work for the same employer after the 6 month injury treatment?
2.) If you did go back to work for the same employer, were you performing your regular job duties?
3.) Can it be assumed that you hadn't sought treatment for at least a 2 year period between now and then?
4.) Have you been laid off, terminated or resigned from the job with this same employer?

If you answered "YES" to the questions above, it is going to be very difficult for you to obtain compensation or a settlement of your case. Get an attorney and have them fight for your benefits.

Good luck.
