There is no Yahoo lottery. These emails are total scams. Do not even open them, just check the box next to the email in your inbox and click Spam at the top.

Yahoo, AOL, MSN, GMAIL, etc do not have lotteries. They do not give money away. If it sound to good to be true it is. If you did not enter then how can you win. It is a SCAM just hit the SPAM button. Do not open emails like this it just confirms your email address and you will get a lot more spam. Never give out your personal info to any of these places. It is a phishing scam. Hope this helps!!!

It's a scam. Businesses do not give money away without good reason, in particular Microsoft is known for being greedy, they will not be party to anything like this. Any business that started dishing out money in this way would go bankrupt pretty quickly.

What does "YAHOO BETA /MICROSOFT IS REGISTERED UNDER THE DATA PROTECTION ACT OF; (Registration Z720633X)" mean? The Data Protection Act is an act which prevents businesses from collecting personal information for one purpose and then using it for another, and from storing personal information not required to administer an account on behalf of the person concerned.

How does giving money to individuals not involved in the fields "encourage the use of Internet for academic and business pursuits. It major aim is to promote music, theater, art and literature projects in the social and political arena with a focus on health, as well as science, research, and higher education"?

Also what is Staatsloterij? Sounds like a slavic language - so why is Yahoo UK and Ireland involved?

And what a stroke of genius selecting a name with "Rev" at the front to further confuse the gullible.

It seems someone has carefully checked spelling and grammar of this email (perhaps on here, there is some dude getting single sentences of a type found in emails like this corrected every day), though I can spot one mistake, in the 4th line of the second paragraph. But it's still a scam.
