Is it normal when buying a new build property that the buyer should have to pay money to the seller for having the contracts drawn up? I have just had the contract delivered and it states: 'The contract also provides that you are required to pay the seller's solicitors the sum of £125.00 plus VAT in respect of production of documents' Is this normal procedure?

Its part of the closing costs. I would think when times are bad like they are now for home sales they would wave them but guess not.
