i was in a car accident in feb. and just recently got in to one on thursday, would this new claim be affected by my old claim?
I was a passenger in both accidents i was in; one being a fender bender and the second being a major accident. would the fact that i am getting money from the first car accident effect me being able to get the money from the second one?

The claims themselves won't affect one another, but your rates may be affected, depending on the liability. Call your agent for rate information.

since you were a passenger, none of this could be your fault. there may be some dicking around between the claims adjusters to figure out how many of the injuries in the 2nd accident were "new" and which injuries were "pre existing." But if you're still getting paid for the first claim, one or the other of the companies should cover all of your bills. (unless they're approaching policy limits, in which case you need an attorney)

The new claim wont affect the old claim, however when processing the new claim any related injuries that occurred in the first accident will be taken into account which may (but not definitely so) reduce any compensation award to you in the second accident. Any related or preexisting conditions will always be taken into account. Good Luck.
