If your placed on the DL then you are not allowed to play until your DL time is up. For example, if I pulled my quadricep and I was placed on the DL retroactive to July 30th then I would not be eligible to return until August 15th. There are also different amounts of time you can be placed on the DL and those are set according to the extent of the injury. Hope this helps !

You can claim anything you want but to be able to play you would have to get medical clearance. They won't just take your word for it.

nope, once a player is placed on IR they are done for the season. Thats why teams will only put players on there who will not recover before the end of the season

Answer by d b
once you are place on injured reserve, you are done for the season.

If you are hurt, but will be able to play again in a few days, they place you on PUP (physically unable to perform), at least until the season starts
