They can't. Clinton supporters make up over half the party. He's winning in delegates but losing in the popular vote.
He has alienated all Hillary supporters with dirty campaign tricks.

Apparently they are not getting it....I still want to know what idiot (or genius, depending on your party) decided to throw in the first black candidate along with the first really viable female candidate.....the republicans are laughing their a** off. If the democrats were smart they wouldn't have allowed this to happen...guess its time to re-register as an Independent.

They are divisive just like their leader. Obama can't win if a huge number of Clinton supporters go for McCain. I know McCain will get the vote of all of my family and friends.

They can't. Most Clinton supporters will go to McCain, causing him to lose important states, such as Ohio, Texas, Florida, PA, Michigan.

Obama will get the Clinton supporters, at least most of them. My prediction is 70% of them to Obama, 10% to McCain and 20% sitting out the election. With that split Obama might beat McCain, might not.
Clinton, on the other hand, will get most of Obama's supporters. The racism of the thugs running the party (I'm a liberal Democrat, there's not a liberal among the party leadership, just thugs) will be covered up by the Uncle Toms who accept the party's crumbs (a "place at the table," some reserved high level appointments, lots of nice words, just no real action to help minorities) and deliver the African American vote just as it has for decades.
A liberal agenda that really helps African Americans would consist of:
1. Break the power of the teachers' unions over education in the inner city. I'm not attacking teachers, it's the unions that are the problem. Clinton et al accept that real education is denied inner city minorities in exchange for millions of volunteers herded their way by the unions.
2. Tort reform. Lack of access to quality medical care by minorities is disgrace. Enormous cost can be taken out of the healthcare system through tort reform, meaning that quality physicians and clinics can return to the innere city where catastrophically high malpractice insurance rates and huge settlements in the roulette game called malpractice suits make it economically unfeasible to practice. However, Clinton et al would far rather condemn minorities to poor healthcare than give up the huge contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Party's largest single donor.
