I have recently decided that I would like to pursue a career in law, specifically as a trial lawyer. A new semester will be beginnig soon and registration is tomorrow. What classes are law schools looking for/ requiring? Thanks!
I DO NOT want to take all AP classes. I prefer having this little thing called a LIFE.

It doesn't really matter. Take the classes you need to get into college. You need a 4-year college degree to get into law school, and law schools only care about your college grades, not high school.

I don't think that there's any particular classes you can take in high school. Just go to law school after you graduate. That's my best advice I can give you.

AP English Language (junior)
AP English Literature (senior)
Psychology
AP History classes (US, European, and World)
AP US Government
AP comparative Government
The Pattern: Take as many difficult "liberal art classes" in high school as you can.

No law school cares at all about high school. Take whatever classes you need to get into a good college (lots of APs that you'll do well in, 4 years of English, etc.) No law school will ever see your high school transcript or your SAT scores or your list of activities.
Your college grades will matter a lot. Your best bet is to be very well prepared for college so you can excel at whatever school you decide to go to.

law school comes after college. They do not even look at your high school courses, they look at your college courses. Take whatever you want now, it has absolutely no bearing on something like law school. Take what you want to get into whatever college you want to go to. When you get to college, you can figure out what you need to take to be aligned with law schools.

Aside from possibly asking you to name the HS you go to, law schools won't ask you any questions about your High School education. Concentrate on getting into a good school.

law studies and court procedures

Take the most difficult, challenging courses you can so that you can get into the best undergraduate school you can. Law school is a graduate program, meaning you have to get your bachelor's degree first, so your high school classes really do not come into play in getting into law school. And your undergraduate major really doesn't matter either, as long as it develops critical thinking and comprehensive reading skills.

I also want to be a lawyer some classes I am thinking about taking are:
Business Law
Some reading classes
Sociology
Psychology
Speech classes
Political Science
basically a lot of history and english courses
Also if you want to have your own practice some business classes wouldn't hurt.
