Reflecting on the origins of his success, KK Venugopal said that if at all he owed his present position to anybody, it was to his father. "He was very particular about me spending a lot of time studying the briefs. He used to come for work normally at 8:30 in the morning, but after I enrolled, he started coming at 7:30 hoping to find me at work, but he never did."
