I have a pretty strong case with lots of documentation (just no written agreement) that I filed for my local small claims court. I got a letter from a Judge Judy producer asking me to come on the show to arbitrate my case.
Case: I pre-paid my former personal trainer (independently training - not through a gym). I got pregnant and I was unable to keep up with the sessions. I asked him to either give me a refund, or write a contract to honor my sessions after I had the baby. He said he would give the $ $ back, but he never did. We got in an unpleasant conversation and so I sued him.
I am scared of Judge Judy. She is so mean! But they say that they guarantee you get paid if you win (where in small claims court if you win, collecting the $ $ is still a challenge -- and may never really get it!), they will fly u & ur witnesses to L.A. and give you a per diem rate and also some fee for your appearance.
I think I can win. I just don't want Judge Judy to embarrass me!
Should I do it?

Well, I would base your decision on how much proof (tangible) that you actually have. Going up there and just saying "This man is lying!" won't hold up.

Go to regular court. Judge Judy is nasty and will eat your baby for breakfast.

I think you should. Judge Judy can be pretty harsh, but don't care if she embarrasses you or not, you need your money and you deserve to get it back.

first of all, Judge Judy show will pay you and the defendants for appearing,,,, and yes if you win you will get paid,, but the hassle is if the defendant does not show,,, then you will win obviously, butt i dont know if they willl bring you there if he or she does not agree to appear to defend. Worth a try, Judge Judy is mean if you lie,, or if you go not prepared,,, dont do either and it will be a free mini holiday and make money too

if he says that you never had that talk b/c it wasnt in writting then it is his word against yours not very many trainers would have given you anything back, they would have took the approach of dont come its your own fault.
