My mother needs to file a small claims case against a neighbor whose dog attacked and injured her dog, for the medical bills and needs to know how much time she has to file for a court date. It happened this summer, not exactly sure of the date. The police were called and it was ruled to be her fault in the accident report. Her pit bull jumped my mother's fence and almost killed her Bijon. I've called the court house and they told us to look the time limits up on the internet but I am not sure how because I just can't seem to find them. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

It sounds like this would fall under the category of property damage, and under Oklahoma law, the statute of limitations for small claims of this type is two years.
