During my primary education, I suffered an injury to my head as a result of a teacher's negligence & I soon thereafter developed a 'tic' disorder which worsened to Tourette syndrome, which has resulted in anxiety, depression & suicidal ideation as well as many other personal issues. I'm now seeking help from a psychologist. I've been living with all of these problems for 10 years and there is no sign that it will be going any time soon. I am only now thinking that I should seek monetary compensation for the years of suffering from my disability that effects me immensely in daily life & holding a job down.

The only reason why I haven't seeked compensation sooner is that I know it's going to be really hard to try & prove that my injuries were of direct result of the teacher's negligence & there is no obvious signs of brain injury (CT scans), as it seems that my problem is mostly neurological.

My question is that I'm not sure that I should go through all of the frustrations & stress of trying to claim. Would it be worth it really???

How much do you think that I'd get paid out.

You are almost certainly too late to file a law suit. In most states you have 2 to 5 years during which to file.

Thats the thing. The longer you wait the harder it's gonna get to prove it was neglegence. I don't think it'd be worth it.

Depending on your state, you may have a reasonable time to file after turning 18 for an injury in childhood, but since you can't even prove an injury, you will never be able to prove causation.
