i have a case pending and everytime i talk to them they say that they are going to file but never do. they have been saying this for months. what could be the problem why havent they filed? i dont think my case is getting enough attention. I call and write letters and i hear no response at all. I still dont get why they just dont file, they have everything they need to. Its not like the defendant is working with them to settle his issue. he ignores their letters that they send him. What do you think it is? please help?

You need to fire him, get your file back from him (which will be no problem, it's routine) and get another lawyer. The problem is, most cases have a set length of time in which to file suit, like 2 years. Don't waste anymore time on him. This is done all the time (firing lawyers) so don't feel weird about it. End it today, take you file to a new lawyer next week.

Based on the shere number of times you post the same question here, I suspect that you have become a pain in the ice and that before too long the lawyer is going to give you your files and tell you to find someone else. There may be a tactical reason for the delay, gathering evidence and such, or it could be that you are not the only client the firm has, or it could be that they are blowing you off. No one here can answer that and the fact that you just keep asking people who cannot possibly answer leads me to believe that it is because you are a pain and no one in the firm wants the case.

What kind of case do you have, and at what stage it is? Nevertheless, your attorney should tell you what is going on and why they are not filing yet.

If you are unhappy with your mechanic, what do you do? If you are unhappy with your maid, what do you do? You fire them and find a new mechanic or maid. Attorneys, as with any other service provider, are no different.
If you are unhappy with your current legal representation, you should fire them and seek new counsel. I don't fully understand what you expect strangers on Yahoo Answers to do for you in your situation.
What do you think? Answer below!
