i crashed my car a few weeks ago, insurance have written it, so i coleccted my stuff from the car including my tax disc, i no i can claim the rest of my tax back via the post office but what do i have to take? i.e log book? insurance? if somebody can advise me then that will be a good, before i go to the post office with out what i need

Take the log book with if you have it (if you take it you can also fill in that you are no longer the keeper), you wouldnt need insurance or mot certs. You will need to fill in a v14 form to claim the money back.
Its best to go to your local dvla office rather than the post office.
