How does my Broadcast sound?

In my digital multimedia class, I had to write a broadcast copy of a newspaper article to make it like a script for a teleprompter. Mine was about this article : http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2010/may/04/bp-says-it-will-pay-victims/

Here is my broadcast:

BP Broadcast

This past Monday, BP announced they will pay compensation for valid claims relating to the recent oil spill. These include property damage, personal injury, and commercial losses. Still, Gulf Coast residents fear what will happen to the Gulf Coast beaches. Gulf Coast hotel manager Dana Powell is afraid of what will happen to the Gulfs staple industries, like tourism and commercial fishing. "It's going to kill wildlife; it's going to kill lifestyles… Who's going to come to an oil-covered beach?" she said.
Monday, about forty miles north east of Venice, oil covered the beaches. Several dead jellyfish were discovered in the water. Numbers of other wildlife have been found on Gulf Shores, though it has not yet been confirmed whether these deaths are related to the oil spill.
BP Chief Executive Officer Tony Hayward said that the equipment that caused the spill belonged to Transocean Ltd., not BP. Guy Cantwell, of Transocean Ltd., said the company was waiting for all facts before drawing conclusions. The board investigating the oil leak and explosion is holding its public hearing in about two weeks. The cause of the deadly explosion has not yet been determined.
Mean while, BP officials are waiting to see how effective the underwater robots were at breaking down the oil in the Gulf. Everything they have tried so far has not stopped the leak. After the explosion, the oil flow should have stopped, but the machine designed to do it, failed. It will be at least six days before BP can lower the boxes designed to capture the oil down into the Gulf.
Until then, at least one million gallons could spill into the Gulf, adding to the two-point-six million gallons already in the water. The Coast Guard estimates that two-hundred-thousand gallons are spilling out daily, but officials say it's impossible to know exactly how much is leaking. BP has started drilling another well to relieve the pressure caused by the oil leak, but oil could continue to gush for months before it's finished. It should burrow 18,000 feet and inject cement to stop the oil.
