Someday I really want to be in government and a lawyer. I love fighting for what I believe and I can basically out-argue anyone if I truly support what I'm fighting for. So what type of lawyer argues the most in court or against other people? If you know, about how much money do they make? One day I plan to go for a position in Congress and I'm going to need a lot of money to run a campaign.
Ken, what does my political stance have anything to do with wanting to be a lawyer? I don't really belong to any party.

Any type of trial lawyer. Just expect to earn the money.
Civil trial lawyers usually go into the legislature, and criminal trial lawyers often become judges.
But not always.

I wish you lots of luck. most lawyers in congress were prosecuters first then defense lawyers. The money is good but it stillrequires a lot of time. My lawyer gets $ 250 a hr. for legal work like contracts. He gets more if he has to go to court. You need more then money to run for office. You need a good issue.
