A coworker did something that caused me to have 2 compression fractions and a small herniation of a disk. It occurred over a year ago. I never took but a day off here and there. I have nerve pain in my saddle area, down in my legs and in my feet. Level of pain is driven by activity. It's none surgical. I had chiropractic treatments for many months. I'm waiting to see a doc about injections. I go to work but I have to rest more than most. I always avoid lifting and bending if I can. I don't help out when my coworkers are lifting a lot of things and moving stuff around. Sometimes I just can't take the pain and go home because even just sitting I still have extremely annoying pain. The workers comp claim is still open and its hard to get them to preapprove Dr visits. That's my other issue (it makes me mad). Sometimes I just want to give up and stay home. I control the pain better when I can lay down or recline anytime I need to. At work, I often over do it because I want to help.

Man, do I understand...& sympathize. My back is broken in 3 places. Surgery, medication nor physical therapy can help. Mine, too, is a Worker's comp, but my problem is...I moved out of the state where I was injured, & the laws vary from state to state. I have a woose for a lawyer, & he won't return my calls.
And, I too, find reclining my least painful position. Doesn't make for good work eithics, though; does it?

Get a good lawyer. Workmans comp will prolong Dr. appt's as long as they can so they can hold on to there money, and later will try to send you to the doctor of there choice. You need a lawyer to scare them into giving you what you need. DON'T over do it. It only pushes your healing time backwards.
