I was in a car accident. I hit the other car when making a left turn. No personal injury but other car has damage. The police came and write a report. I do not want to file claim since my car has minor damage. My question is should i call my insurance or should i wait for my insurance to contact me?
I did call my insurance and report the accident but agent said that if i am not filing a claim then i don't need to call. Wait until the other party contact my insurance then they will contact me to gave them my statement.

They will find out soon enough when the other guy files against your insurance, so man up and tell them. They will appreciate it and it may also be required by law that you report it.

Who is going to pay for the damage to the other vehicle? Are you going to pay it out of your own pocket?
Then no need to file a claim.
If you think the insurance is only to protect your car then your wrong, someone has to pay to fix the other guys car.
If its your insurance that pays to fix the other car then, claim opened.

You should contact your insurance to inform them of the accident and that another party is probably going to file a claim against you. The accident sounds like your fault, so that's likely.

It is your responsibility, per your policy contract, that you inform the insurance company whenever you have any kind of loss, regardless of how minor. If you are at all responsible for causing the other vehicle's damages, a claim will need to be filed. Don't wait for the other guy to file, it will only delay things.
