I awant to get my kids laptops but I also want to make certain they are not visiting sites or being solicited. I would like to add a "nanny" program. Could this be done remotely by using an IP Address or do I have to have the computer with me to install dfirectly?

to be honest bro if you cant trust your kids on the internet then dont bother getting them laptops simple

There are programs out there for this some services are provided by your Windows operating system.and if you check with your IP I think some of them provide parental control along with some anti virus programs. Call a computer store that provides software they can tell you. About trusting your kids. That is none sense. Don't give your kids a chance to alienate your trust. You will be saving yourself a lot of terrible grief. And above all don't be one of those mothers that think their kids don't lie. You can't protect them from everything but try to as much as you can. Now a days if you flip through the channels, you are exposed to porno or other disgusting things. Thanks to our media all sorts of perversity are considered acceptable today and you are made to look like an undesirable if you object. Keep up the good work with your kids. I have been around a lot of years and am ashamed of the things my generation brought on to the world. With free love and the like, we now have instead of 7 STD's we have hundreds. Once I heard thousands but don't know how true that is. We also have tons of unwed mothers and a higher crime rate. Single parent families are known to have children in prison. My apologies for getting up on my soap box so often, but wouldn't you agree our children deserve better then the filth that is promoted today.
