ok here is the deal, i moved into this property about 3 yrs ago, the council pay for the rent. They never sent over someone to see if the property was suitable(rent officer).I have always had problems with thi property....plus the landlord wont do anything about the floor boards and i can hear the nieghbours clear as day and they are very loud people! I have to complained about the damp all over the house, the fungi that keeps growing because of it, the radiator are not enought for the size of the place so the house doesnt even get heated up when they are on and this place get very very cold to the ppoint where u can see your own breathe, i even developed chibilians because of it and purple toes. The bathroom has condesation ont he ceiling and its like its always raining in there.the windows are ment to be 'double glazing' but yet i can still feel alot of breeze coming from them, the front of the house is disgusting and the landlord was ment to clear it out and yet he still hasnt which as resulted to foxes coming in to the front leaving fox poo behind...i have a 3 year old son and his always getting colds and im sure the fungi isnt good for my son to breathe in...now i hav been complaining about all this for a good 3 years now and nothing still hasnt been done.!!!!!!!! the council keep saying they cant do nothing about it because its tempary accommadation.EVEN THOU THEY ARE THE ONES PAYING THE RENT....and my landlord still had the cheek to raisse the rent and this house isnt even worth that price....!!!!
I know i have kept it abit long to be considering sueing but i have been trying to get the agency to sort it out thinking that they would.

I dont have any letters to prove my complaints because i never knew i should have done that, i have pictures as evidence and one email i sent with dates on it.But most of it as been by phone.

I really think that i aint been taken seriously because im 22. But i know i have rights and its effecting me pysichally and mentally cos it does get depressing. Help!

If you can prove you have suffered physical injury or psychological injury - i.e. through medical/clinical examination - due to the negligence of the council in ensuring your housing is safe and fit for use then you may have case.
