I wanted to know if anyone had anything similar to this...
I had gone to the er for an injury at the time (about 10 years ago now) and the technicians argued whether or not my ankle was broken or fractured. I was told to go to my personal doctor for a check up. After a week on crutches I went to the doctor, to which he said I was fine. I have injured (more like sprained) my ankle here and there but nothing serious in the past 10 years... But I have intense pain and swelling chronically and sometimes it's hard to get around. Do you think it was nerve damage? I wasn't sure if I should go to a specialist or if it's more like a lost cause and I have nerve damage or something I can't fix. Thanks for any and all info and I appreciate it.

My guess would be nerve damage, but it could also be tendinitis as well. The swelling is inflamation but i also wouldnt rule out arthritis as a posability.

Definitely see a specialist if you feel pain then it's something going on. Don't be afraid to seek second and third opinions because one doctor may say everything's okay and another might actually find something. Try to see a specialist who specializes in ankles, legs and foot problems. I hope this helps and I hope you feel better and get the care you need
