How would you deny liability if you hit a stationary vehicle; especially one at a red light... ?
Edit: LS: The problem is that when injuries like these occur, symptoms are not always immediate. You can develop problems later in life, and you are not able to go back for more money later. 10-20 years from now, the person might suffer serious chronic pains due to this injury.
There should be an amount paid out (a percentage) to account for that.

He should get whatever amount the accident actually cost him. Not what it cost his insurance, but what it cost him. I seriously hate to hear about people making money off an accident. Unless someone was just showing ridiculously negligent behavior, no one should be making a profit off an accident.

Depends what state you are in and what coverage you have. Some states there is a cap of 2500.00. Call your insurance company. Believe me, it's a fight to get any money.

Get an attorney ASAP...don't settle your claim until you talk to an attorney. Check the local yellow pages for a personal injury attorney or you can contact your local or state bar associations...you can also look on the Martindale Hubbell website. Good luck
