When someone claims for a slip/fall accident on there premises, why do they fight it to the end when they know they are at fault?
does anyone know anything about this?
I fell 4yrs ago and my case is on going,my solicitor had to go to the court master and get permission to get an engineer to inspect the premises, the co council did not want this.

It is typically the insurance company that negotiates the settlement with your lawyer as long as the owner of the premises has the insurance. The reason its taking so long is the defense does not want to settle and believes that you were probably at fault. Even if not the case, they probably believe you are asking for too much money. They will continue to put it off so you will settle for less money. Don't do it!
