Hi,
I was involded in a car accident where the other car overtook me from the left through a bus lane and then sharply turned right to get to my right lane. At that moment i breaked as hard as i could but the other car made physical contact with my front bumper and i have hit his rear back driver side tyre arch. We exchanged details but when i asked for his details he drove off but i have been able to record his car registration details. I suffered a injury and made a personal injury claim. 1 Week later i heared his desputing liability then 3 days later i recive a letter stating that he made a claim against me and is claiming personal injury compensation from me ;( HE IS NOT TELLING THE TRUST. I was sitting with my son and another fellow emplyee of mine when the accident occurered there are no witesses to the accident. WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE HELP 9third party already has sumbitted a court claim against me and i recived a letter from the court as well)

Contact a lawyer and get your court claim started right away. He was clearly in the wrong for cutting you off. You have witnesses who were in your car at the time. Depending on the age of your son, he may be called to answer questions too, and may be very helpful. But get a lawyer NOW.
Good luck

It probably was your fault.....Be a descent human and compensate the victim instead of victimizing them twice.... That is why you have insurance..........If you want to be greedy than be ready for many years of litigation....Not to mention the consequence you may face if you ruin the victims life forever.........THIS IS WHAT INSURANCE IS FOR........You are obvioulsy lying because you claim this person drove off, yet you got their information anyway? Did you call the police to get the information to file your claim through insurance? Or did you just guess their insurance company? Hit and run is a felony.. Were they charged?

i,m surprised your insurance company isn't acting for you, that's what you have them for. they dealt with everything for me when i got hit, solicitors, free courtesy car, injuries and compensation. i didn't have to lift a finger it was all done for me.
so whats your excuse? were you insured?

witnesses are your best defense if your passenger ( he is a valid witness ) corroborates your story ( he still must make a claim against your insurance, and then they go after the other drivers insurance for damages and personal injury ) if you are found without fault it wont raise your premiums . and adjusters are also able to deduce fault by visible damage as to speed and positions. also if he left the scene without producing license and insurance info you can file charges of hit and run but do it soon as time ticks by your claim becomes less credible. and get your passenger to give a written description of the accident also assure him that it wont invalidate his claim against your insurance for injury....... good luck..... if you follow these steps and your witness ( passenger) validates your details you shouldn't be held responsible
