I was recently in a hit-and-run car accident, and my insurance company keeps calling me to settle my personal injury claim. I want to make sure that I'm not signing away any rights that I might need later, but don't really want to get lawyers involved. You NEED to get a lawyer involved!!! Once i got a lawyer involved suddenly the offer went way up and he told me alot of things I didn't know!!!! He worked on nothing down but got 33 % at the end -he couldn't take a % of medical expenses. Example-they offered me $ 10,000 without a lawyer---I got $ 60,000 and expenses in the end.
