I already have a bachelors and masters in education. I want to change careers after 20 years. I had planned to go to law school years ago but then I got pregnant, and went through various tragedies. I don't want to be a trial lawyer. I'd rather do something low key and not so high stress.

Who says you even have to practice law? You can get into the policy side of social issues, or get a JD/MBA, or any number of things. Heck, a JD is technically a doctorate, which qualifies you to be a college professor at most universities.
