Not in the USA.
Being a lawyer is not restricted to sex offenders, felons, inbreds, retards and cretins, as long as they pass the bar exam and pay the dues.

You know I always heard that theres a law on the books that a gay lawyer can only have gay clients.

Answer by Giorgio M
The law states in article 69 of the penile code of 1869:

" A prospective lawyer must be of good standing in his community, of sound moral guidance, and display tremendous ethical standards, none of which could ever include any person who likes a good stiff one every now and then(up his a** that is)"

Since no lawyer to day fits any of those standards, I would suggest that it is safe for a homosexual to become a lawyer!
