My solicitors are dropping the case due to the fact that the company I am making the claim against do not have public liability insurance. Where can I go for help now? I do not have the funds to fund this claim personally. I thought it was illegal for a company to trade without public liability insurance. Any advice? I was badly hurt with hospital stay required and permanent damage and broken bones.

If you are using one of the numerous accident claims companies that advertise no win no fee on television then that is why they dropped the case. They rely on easy to win claims that are usually settled with a couple of letters and no court case.Your case due to the companies lack of insurance has just become more complicated so these companies will drop it like a stone. In cases like this the owners of the company then become liable for your compensation but this can drag on for years with no guarantee you will be compensated. If a criminal case is brought against the company you may be entitled to criminal injuries compensation. You need to get independent legal advice check any household policies you have they sometimes carry legal advice clauses in them giving you free advice. Also most high street solicitors will carry out an initial half hour interview at no cost to assess the case.

Your current solicitors don't have your best interests in mind. Does the company have assets? Find another solicitor.
