Okay so I was driving home from work while it was raining and I was getting off at an exit and my car began to slip and crashed into a wall. The tow truck driver said that there were 8 accidents in the same spot that day . It is destroyed, but I only have liability insurance. If I make the claim, will I still receive some type of money due to it not being my fault? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

Nope. You're not covered. Sorry.

You can try it but it probably won't work.

Odds are, you (and the other 8 drivers) were going too fast for road conditions in that area. This caused your car to hydroplane and hit the wall.

youre in sorry no ins no money//try to make the state involved wont work/but i have heard of tow companys oiling up exits to get tow jobs//make a complaint to state police to have them examine the exit for fuel oil on the road//you can never tell about these tow guys//especially if they are the ones that towed all the cars and they arrived without being called

no, sorry.

Liability only means simply that if you hit someone else, they will pay for the damage you did to their car.

You are on your own to either fix or replace the car. If it is totaled, the junk yard may give you a few bucks for it.

You are mistaken - it IS your fault - it's called driving too fast for conditions. Just because others made the same mistake doesn't mean you are all blameless.

Some accidents are hard to avoid even for the best drivers, but ultimately nobody hit you, you lost control of your car and are therefore responsible.

Sorry, but this is 100% your fault. Not sure why you think you aren't at-fault, but you are. I see this type of 1 car accident a lot. Who else can be blamed?

The bottom line is that you have a duty to drive your car in a manner that allows you to keep it under control. Many people drive their normal speed in the rain, thinking it's only water. However, it is almost as easy to lose control on water as it is on ice/snow.

The fact that other people lost control in the same spot doesn't mean that the city or highway dept is responsible. It just means that too many people drive too fast in the rain.

You do not have anybody to make a claim to since you don't have collision coverage and nobody else is responsible for the damages. It's a tough lesson to learn but is one that will stick with you.

Good Luck

You lost control of your car, that's your problem. It's your fault when you crash regardless of the weather or road conditions and especially when there's no other cars involved. If someone hit your car causing you to lose control, that's a different story and you can claim on their liability insurance. But in your case, you can't claim on someone else's insurance and since you don't have collision coverage, you can't claim on your own either.
