Do you have any written confirmation from Ann Summers that you cancelled this contract?
I would personally write them aletter explaining the situation. Sometimes big companies like that are willing to admit when they are at fault.

consolidate your debt into one bill, and talk with your bank about settling your debt for a lower amount. Banks will try and settle your debts before letting you declair bankrupsy because they would rath you give some money than no money. It hurts on your credit for a while, but once your payed off, your debt will heal.

No, Pay the debt, because you didn't know what was going on in the first place.......Then you have no proof of what..

Yes you are, you should call the solicitors and explain the situation, arrange a meeting if you need to. I am sure this can be dealt with but you have to do it fast before it goes any further.

well first of all get a credit check, and credi history check. Find out if its on your credit. What usually happens is that these companies pass on the bill to third party companies who pay the original bill of the original company and then charge the customer for the bill and any other fees they think are suitable for there time spent trying to get you to pay for it.
I dont know if this is the case with you. But, get that credit history done on yourself, if its not on your credit don't worry about it. These companies always bug you to pay up... but sooner or later they will stop.. I had the same with a magazine company. I payed but they didnt have me down for payment so I discontinued my services and they continued to bill for like a year and finally stopped.. But they threatened me with increasing fees and other stuff but nothing ever happened.
