Looks legit. I don't know about UK money but I'm pretty sure that if you are suppose to pay them over the internet, credit cards or paypal is the way to go.

EDIT: lol I was using sarcasm. Seems like no one understood since I had 4 thumbs down.

Scam

if you initiated this response it apparently is their procedure for hiring
this was not sent you as a spam, or junk mail, you asked for it
if you are hesitant about it, try search engines for the legal office they mention, even possibly do a reverse phone look up on the phone number, check out all possible relative things to see if they are genuine

No Barrister uses a yahoo e mail address.

Google the lawyer. It doesn't sound legit. I would think that a REAL lawyer, would have a business email address, not a yahoo account.
I also don't know if different companies have different practises when it comes to work permits, but I know that company that I work for pays for all work related expenses.
 good luck

The misuse of capital and lower-case letters leads me to believe that this is fake. I would call the number and see what they have to say. I would follow that up by calling the HR department of Wyndham hotels and posing the same question to them.

This is probably fake, but I would still follow-up if you did try to apply online. I would also check and confirm that you were on the correct website to begin with when applying.

Do not send them any money.

Scam i have received the same email , & i called the wyndam grand hotels there is none located in the UK sorry. do not be scammed!
Answer by Kittysue
It's a scam for so many reasons
1 - Hotel workers are not on the skills shortage list so NO UK hotel would ever get a Certificate of Sponsorship for a non-EU employee unless they were already working for the hotel chain in a managerial position and transferring to the UK on a Tier 2 Intercompany Transfer visa. If you are not already a manager in the Wyndham Hote chain, you are not eligible
2 - any number starting with +4470 is not a legitimate UK business number, it's a premium rate redirect number used by scammers to hide their location. You dial a UK number but your call is forwarded overseas with no way of tracking where it is being answered. These are almost always used by Nigerian scammers http://www.joewein.net/blog/2009/11/08/dial-44-70-uk-numbers-for-international-fraudsters/
3 - I called the Wyndham Grand and they currently have no openings and are not recruiting anyone from overseas. Their real phone number is +44 (0)20 7823 3000 - call and speak to their HR Department yourself who will confirm they know nothing about this and their name is being used fraudulently http://www.wyndhamgrandlondon.co.uk/contact.php
4 - Work permits do not cost £95. They cost £270 and this fee can ONLY be paid at the British embassy/consulate in your country when you go in person with your offer letter, Home Office approval letter, passport and passport photos to be fingerprinted and interviewed. You never pay anyone else and never pay in advance of going to the embassy
4 - Barristers would never use a free email address, and there is nobody named Baines Martins Parker listed with the UK Bar Council, so he is not a legitimate barrister http://www.barcouncil.org.uk/about/find-a-barrister/public-access-directory/
5 - Barristers only deal with criminal proceedings in courts in the UK. They would never have anything to do with work visas. No real hotel would ask you to contact a barrister
 and
6 - NO company in the UK will EVER hire anyone they have not interviewed in person. If you were not flown to the UK for an interview at the actual hotel, or did not interview at the Wyndham office in your country, the job does not exist. It's that simple. Major hotel chains DO NOT give jobs to people over the internet. You normally have a lengthy recruitment process with 2-3 interviews, a full police background check, etc as you have access to guests' rooms and credit card details.
