There are loads of potential hurdles for children in work, many of them law-related, parents and guardians want to be careful about that. There is loads of help from the website in the box below on this topic, they also have help for all peeps who are looking for work, or who want to change careers.

Our law firm hired a 16 year old this summer to archive our files for us. I am not sure they will hire you during the school year because most law firms have business hours (8-5). Depending on when you get out of school, it might not be worth their time or yours. Our intern did work the last month of school, but we decided we were no longer going to do that. By the time she got there, and started her task, it was already time to close shop.
I would definitely try during the summer when you can devote time in the office. Draft a resume and have your parents look over it, or even a trusted teacher to give you pointers. Then contact local attorneys and see if they would look at your resume for a intern position.
Good luck!

Yes! It really helps everybody out to have a "gofer" on hand for photocopying, etc. And if you dress up a bit and show your good manners you will probably be taken to depositions or court and get to meet clients. Go for it!
