I am currently a sophomore in college and want to intern at a law office or firm in the town since I want to enter law school after graduation. What will they have me do? Sweep the floors? File papers? Write case reports? Will they even hire me as an intern at all? =S
Thanks!

Yes, they will hire you but you will be a gopher (go for)l go for this, go for that. You won't be qualified to do any "case reports" or write legal memorandum or do research. That is what the law clerks are for (ie, the law student workers). But it should be a good experience for you, as you can still do pre-trial prep type work.

It depends on how active you are, how much do you want to accomplish as an intern. When I worked at a law office, they had interns. The intern helped with filing papers, typing reports and also with some research. The intern also went to court with the lawyers. When you approach a law office/firm, tell them that you want to do more than filing and stuff. Be pro-active and you will accomplish more.
