Uk question about divorce?

Hi, My ex partner is applying for a divorce in the court and his Solicitor sent me a letter saying that if I do not return the acknowledement of service then I will have to pay a Costs Order. However I do not have any money (as in I am on ovedrdraft in the bank) so how could I possibly pay the Costs Order anyway? If I did have to pay it, how much would it be?
Thanks in advance.

It varies from case to case. Could be hundreds of pounds though. If you can't pay it and get taken to court over it, you'll end up being made bankrupt, which isn't good. You should probably just return the acknowledgement of service.

Dear friend star,
Consult a lawyer or advocate in the courts of justice in your location. The fees charged depends on the case.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. (Holy Bible 1 Corinthians 7:2)

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (Holy Bible 2 Corinthians 5:10)

God bless you in Christ Jesus mighty name.
