If you really think it might be real, look up the US consulate and call them. Don't use the phone number or email address in the message.

One thing you should remember that US Embassy in your country will send you the documents to be sumitted to them.
Lot of such offers being circulated throughout world in underdeveloped countries.

The .hm domain is the Heard and McDonald Islands, an uninhabited territory of Australia.
An uninhabited group of islands! Why would the US embassy set up there?
That domain is used from other locations which are untraceable. Get the picture? You would send your money to some untraceable web site!

it's a scam, I received the same thing, went to my neighbor, who'd recieved the same e-mail. its all just an official-looking-well-thought-up-scam
